UHMW -- Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Resin   Colors: Natural White, Black, Custom

This material has the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic. Specific gravity is 0.93, about 7% lighter than water. Temperature limit: about 203o F. It features an excellent combination of properties including: abrasion resistance, tensile strength, energy absorption, resistance to stress-cracking, and low coefficient of friction. This is also self-lubricating and completely water-repellant. TYPICAL USES: High Slip for unlubricated movement over metal surfaces. Good at low temperatures but is inherently anti-adhesive. Stress relieving for close tolerance machining and dimensionally stable parts. This material also has very good chemical and stress-cracking resistance to corrosive media, with the exception of strong oxidizing acids at elevated temperatures.
